IDSofts Karaoke Maker

Practice tracks from audio you already have.

Import a song, reduce vocals, follow lyrics, adjust pitch and tempo, then export a mix for karaoke practice.

What it does

IDSofts Karaoke Maker is a Windows desktop utility for turning audio you own or are permitted to use into a practice track. Import a song, reduce vocals for an instrumental mix, follow lyrics on screen, adjust pitch and tempo, preview the result, then export a file you can play later.

It is a focused karaoke-maker for local files—not a streaming service, and not a replacement for the Video & MP3 Downloader.

Download software Back to products

Download and open

Karaoke Maker is provided as a ZIP package. It does not need a traditional installer.

  1. Select Download software and save idsofts_karaoke_maker.zip.
  2. Open your Downloads folder after it finishes.
  3. Right-click the ZIP file and choose Extract All....
  4. Open the extracted idsofts Karaoke Maker folder and double-click IdSofts.KaraokeMaker.exe.
Keep the extracted folder together. Do not run the application directly from inside the ZIP file.
IMPORT

Bring in your audio

Open a song from disk in common formats such as MP3, WAV, or M4A. Work with one track at a time so the controls stay clear.

VOCALS

Instrumental mix

Reduce lead vocals to create a backing track. Keep enough of the original mix that the song still feels familiar while you sing.

LYRICS

Lyrics on screen

Load a lyrics file, line up lines with the music, and display them during playback so you can follow the song without leaving the app.

PITCH

Key and pitch

Shift the key up or down so the track sits in a comfortable range, without changing the arrangement of the song.

TEMPO

Practice speed

Slow a passage to learn it, or return to the original tempo when you are ready. Preview changes before you export.

EXPORT

Save your mix

Export the prepared instrumental (and optional timed lyrics) to a folder you choose, then play it in Karaoke Maker or another player.

How a typical session works

  1. Choose an audio file you are allowed to use, then import it into Karaoke Maker.
  2. Preview the original, then apply vocal reduction to hear the instrumental mix.
  3. Add lyrics if you have them, and adjust line timing so the display follows the music.
  4. Change pitch or tempo if you need a different key or a slower practice speed.
  5. Preview the full result, then export the file to your chosen folder.
